Undergraduate Admission Requirement

  1. Those who chose Anchor University as 1st or 2nd choice or wish to change to Anchor University, Lagos. The following requirements for admission to Anchor university are listed below.
  2. Must have completed Secodary Education.
  3. Score a minimum of 160 in the UTME.
  4. Have 5 credit passes in related subjects at the ordinary level examinations (WAEC, NECO, IGSCE, NABTEB e.t.c) Mathematics and English language is compulsory. However, for the Departments of English and Linguistics, French, History and International Studies a credit pass in mathematics is not required.
  5. A non refundable application fee.

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

  1. Five credit passes in OLevel examinations, including English Language and Mathematics (some programs may accept a pass in Mathematics)
    Bachelor’s degree (minimum Third Class) in a relevant discipline from a recognized university OR
  2. HND with at least Lower Credit
  3. Bachelor’s degree with Second Class Lower Divisio in a relevant field.
  4. Lower classification or HND holders with a PGD in related field (Credit level pass) are also eligible

How To Apply For Admission

Step 1: Meet Eligibility Requirements

  • You must have completed secondary education with five (5) credit passes in OLevel exams (WAEC, NECO, IGSCE, NABTEB), including English Language and Mathematics. Some programs like English, French, History & International Studies do not require a Mathematics credit.
  • Achieve a minimum score of 160 in the UTME, and you must have chosen Anchor University as your first or second choice (or apply for a change of institution). 
     

Step 2: Create an Account and Start Application

  1. Visit the Anchor University admission portal on their official website. 
  2. Click "Prospective Students" "Apply", and complete the pre-registration form using a valid email and phone number.
  3. Activate your account via email, then log in with your Application Number and password. 

Step 3: Select Your Programme and Upload Documents

  • Choose the undergraduate program you wish to study.
  • Fill the Application Form in steps and save.
  • You will be required to pay a NON REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE.

Upload the following supporting documents:

  • O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/IGSCE/NABTEB)
  • UTME result slip
  • GCE results (if applicable)
  • Recommendation letter (as requested) 

Step 4: Pay the NonRefundable Application Fee

  • Use the payment portal to pay the application fee (currently N20,000).
  • You may use bank payment (Remita), ATM, or online payment platforms within the portal.
  • After payment, print your payment receipt for verification.
  •  Take note of your Application Number which will be used for subsequent logins.

Step 5: Complete and Submit Your Application

  • Continue to fill out all required sections, save as you go.
  • Review all information carefully and then submit your application.
  • Print the application summary and slip, which will contain your Application Number for future reference.

Step 6: Await Screening Invitation

  • Watch your email and portal dashboard for updates.
  • If invited for screening, log back in with your credentials and follow the instructions provided.

Step 7: Accept Admission & Pay Acceptance Fee

  • If offered admission:
    • Accept the offer via the portal.
    • Pay your acceptance fee as instructed.
    • Proceed to pay school fees and accommodation if applicable.

Samuel Oye Bandele

Professor Samuel Oye Bandele is a distinguished academician and accomplished university administrator from Ijesamodu – Ekiti, a small town in the Ilejemeje area of Ekiti State, Nigeria.

nin in 1983. He continued his studies at the University of Ibadan, where he simultaneously completed both his Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Education Measurement and Evaluation in 1989. Professor Bandele's professional interests are deeply rooted in Mathematics Education, Computer Science Education, Tests, Measurement and Educational Evaluation, and Research and Statistics.

Throughout his career, Professor Bandele has held several significant academic and administrative positions. He was a founding figure at the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti, where he served as the founding director of the Computer Center and head of the Department of Computer Science. He later moved to the University of Ado-Ekiti, where he was the director of education, dean of the Faculty of Education, and director of the Directorate of Part-Time Programmes.

His leadership abilities led him to serve as the inaugural Vice-Chancellor of The University of Education, Ikere-Ekiti (TUNEDIK) and later the University of Science and Technology, Ifaki (USTI). These two institutions were subsequently merged with the former University of Ado-Ekiti to form Ekiti State University (EKSU). He was also appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, a position he held until his removal by the state governor in late 2018.     sity of Lagos in 1978; Masters degree in Microbiology from Obafemi Awolowo University (O.A.U) in 1981 and a Doctorate degree from the University of Ibadan in 1990. He lectured at Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, Federal University of Technology Minna, Delta State University, Abraka and holds a chair of Microbiology at the University of Lagos for over a decade. He has conducted research in many areas of Microbiology and mentored more than 200 undergraduate and 50 Masters students. He has also supervised more than 10 Ph.D students. He belongs to five professional and academic bodies. He is a recipient of Netaji Subhas- ICAR International Fellowship and India – Africa ICAR fellowship utilized for both Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees, respectively. Komolafe is interested in transferring knowledge to students or end-users to build an erudite and thoroughly equipped society, and he combines experiences in a tissue culture laboratory and on a commercial farm to give an updated industrial touch to his lecture delivery. Dr. Komolafe is passionate about solutions that will enhance food security for a growing population and changing climate, and he also wants to contribute to the improvement of livelihood by proffering research-driven technologies that will increase farmers’ income and make food affordable for the average man. He has participated and presented papers in some conferences and workshops especially in India and has published articles in international journals. Dr. Komolafe teaches Molecular Biology, Biosafety, Intellectual Property Rights and Bioethics among others.
