Atiba University was established in December 2017 as both a repository creator and a disseminator of knowledge in a world where resources of knowledge will increasingly predominate our material resources as factors of economic growth and national development. The expected institutional values of Atiba University, and its multiplier economic, cultural and social effects in Nigeria and globally will not only grow but also glow in line with the vision of the Proprietor.
Atiba University was formally registered by the National Universities Commission (NUC) Abuja on December 6, 2017 and the provisional license to operate as a private university was issued and dated 19 December 2017.

Undergraduate Admission Requirement
JAMB UTME Requirement
- Candidates must possess JAMB requirements for all programmes in addition to five credit passes in WAEC/NECO SSCE, GCE and NABTEB to include English Language, and other relevant subjects as advertised in the JAMB brochure for each programme.
- Candidates awaiting SSCE results or its equivalent can also apply for admission provided the result will be available at resumption in admission year.
Direct Entry
- Two passes at the Advanced level with G C E Level or approved equivalent credit passes in three other subjects at not more than two sitting.
- Three passes at the Advanced level (GCE A Level, HSC, JUPEB Diploma) with G C E O’Level or approved equivalent credit passes.
- Passes in two recorgnised NCE subjects with GCE O’Level credit equivalent in three other subjects. Education is accepted as a third A’Level subject for those taking courses in education
- Candidates who successfully pass the final examination of the following institutions shall also be considered eligible for admission:
- International Baccalaureate obtained from accredited Institutions with relevant grading
- International Baccalaureate obtained from accredited Institutions with relevant grading
- National Diploma from Polytechnics or Colleges of Technology
- The Defense Academy certificates

Postgraduate Admission Requirments
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics at O’Level (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)
- First degree holders with at least a Third Class honours, or
- HND holders with a Lower Credit from a recognized institution
Master’s Degree (M.A., M.Sc., MBA, etc.)
- Credit passes in English and Mathematics at O’Level
- A Second Class Lower degree (CGPA ??3.00/5.00) in a relevant field
- Candidates with:
- Third Class degree plus 3 years post-graduation experience, or
- A relevant PGD with Credit, or
- HND with equivalent qualifications
Ph.D. / M.Phil–Ph.D. Entry
- Credit passes in English and Mathematics at O’Level
- A relevant Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5?point scale, or equivalent
- Admission may include qualifying exams or probationary registration as required by the department

How To Apply For Admission
Step 1: Choose Your Entry Mode
- Select your mode of entry:
- UTME Candidate or
- Direct Entry Candidate
- Fill in your personal details as required on the application page.
Step 2: Pay the Application Fee
- Pay the N20,000 application fee using your ATM card details on the payment portal.
- Once payment is successful, your application account will be created automatically.
Step 3: Log In to the Applicant Portal
- Visit the applicant portal using the official link.
- Log in with:
- Username: Your JAMB Registration Number
- Password: Your Surname (as entered during application)
Step 4: Fill the Application Form
- After logging in, click on “FILL FORM”.
- Complete the application by entering all required academic and personal information.
Step 5: Check Admission Status
- Within 48 hours of completing your application, go to the “CHECK ADMISSION” section on the portal.
- If admitted, your admission letter will be available there.
Step 6: Pay the Acceptance Fee
- Follow the instructions on the portal to pay your acceptance fee.
- This must be done within 2 weeks of receiving your admission offer.
Step 7: Upload Required Documents
- Still under the “CHECK ADMISSION” section, after paying the acceptance fee:
- Upload a copy of your O’Level result
- Fill out all additional required information.
Step 8: Monitor Your Clearance
- Go to the “CLEARANCE” section of the portal regularly.
- Keep checking to see if you’ve been cleared by the admissions office.
Step 9: Access the Student Portal
- Once you’ve been cleared, proceed to the Student Portal to continue your registration.
- Use the same login details as before:
- Username: JAMB Registration Number
- Password: Surname
Step 10: Pay School Fees and Accommodation
- On the student portal:
- Click on the “PAYMENT ICONS” to pay your tuition and accommodation fees.
- You can also explore each icon to understand your student dashboard features.
Step 11: Save and Backup Your Documents
- Download, screenshot, and save all your application forms, receipts, and admission documents.
- Note: The applicant portal is only valid for about 3 months, and any reprint of forms may come with extra charges.
