Admission

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

  1. Minimum JAMB UTME Score: 180+ (Course Dependent)
  2. O’Level Result – Five Credits in One Sitting (or Six in Two): WAEC, NECO, NABTEB are all accepted, Results from GCE or Cambridge A/AS Level can support application but are not required for UTME applicants.
  3. Result Combination Restrictions: Maximum of two sittings allowed.
  4. Birth Certificate / Age Declaration: A certified birth certificate or court-backed age declaration must be uploaded during application.
  5. Recent Passport Photograph (White Background)

Supporting Documents

  1. O'level results (with at least five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, and at least a pass in Mathematics)
  2. UTME screening results
  3. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
  4. State of Origin Certificate
  5. Passport Photograph

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

  1. All applicants must present their O’Level: Minimum of five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings 
  2. Master’s (M.Sc. / MBA / LLM): At least a Second Class Lower Division from a recognized university, or an equivalent like an HND + PGD with a minimum CGPA of 3.5/5 or 3.0/5 plus requisite post-graduation experience (about 3–5 years)
  3. PGD (Postgraduate Diploma):
  4. Third Class Bachelor’s degree holders or HND (Lower Credit) holders
  5. Candidates without a degree but with equivalent qualifications or work experience may be considered 
  6. M.Phil. / M by Research: Requires a Second Class Upper Division or HND with industrial experience 
  7. Ph.D.: A Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.50/5.00. May include qualifying exams or probation up to 12 months

How To Apply For Admission

Step 2: Create an Applicant Profile

  • Click on “Create Application”.
  • Fill in your personal details such as:

  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Preferred Programme
  • Password
  • Submit the form to create your application account.

Step 3: Log In to Complete Your Application

  • Use your registered email and password to log in.
  • Access the application dashboard to:
  • Fill out the Application Form
  • Upload all required documents (see list below)

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

  • Pay the application fee online using your ATM card (Debit/Credit).
  • A successful payment gives you access to continue the process.

Step 5: Upload Required Documents

Prepare and upload scanned copies of the following:

  • JAMB result (for UTME candidates)
  • O’Level result (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
  • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
  • State of Origin Certificate
  • Passport Photograph

Prof Jamila Shu'ara

Prof. Jamila Shu’ara is an alumnus of Howard University Washington DC, USA and Bayero University Kano, Nigeria and holds BSc., MSc. and PhD Certificates in Consumer Sciences. e of Management, a Fellow of the Forum of Women Educationalists and a Fellow of the Home Economics Professionals Association of Nigeria (HEPAN). She commenced public service in 1981 as a Lecturer in the Nigerian Colleges of Education system and rose through the academic ranks to the terminal post of Chief Lecturer. She also held administrative positions as Head of Department, Dean, Deputy Provost, and Provost at the Federal College of Education. She participated as a Resource person on several NCCE Accreditation Teams to many Colleges of Education. She has several Books, Journal Articles, and Technical Reports to her credit.
 

In 1999, she transferred her service to the Federal Civil Service Commission on the Education Officers cadre and was posted to the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), Headquarters Abuja. She had a rich career in the federal bureaucracy and was deployed in various capacities, notable of these were:

  1. Pioneer Director at the Teachers Registration Council in charge of Administration & Finance where she was directly in charge of the take-off of the organization and worked with colleagues to develop the Template for the recognition and registration of qualified Teachers in Nigeria;
  2. National Coordinator of the FME National Project Coordinating Unit to manage the FME/World Bank/ Universal Basic Education Project (UBEP) II which had a $100 million draw-down components in basic education institutions for capacity building and infrastructure development in eleven states and FME. The successful completion of this intervention birthed STEP-B;
  3. Director of the Department of Tertiary Education at the Federal Ministry of Education for over six years and her job schedule was high-level policy formulation and the management of the entire tertiary education sector including all Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, Innovative Enterprise Institutions, Colleges of Education, vibrant labour unions, supervision of Regulatory Agencies as the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, the National Universities Commission, the National Board for Technical Education, the National Commission for Colleges of Education, the National Teachers Institute, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, the National Mathematical Centre, among others.

    lecturer and public administrator, Dr. Atiku was until his new appointment the Chief of Staff to the Pro-Chancellor and Founder of Baze University, Senator Y.D Baba-Ahmed, Ph.D. He brings on board his wealth of experience as a university lecturer and is versed in industry and public service. A graduate of Accounting from Bayero University Kano, where he further acquired an M.Sc. in Accounting, and an MBA finishing with outstanding grades. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Ph.D. in Public Finance. He has several awards for excellence, including the reputable Shell Petroleum Post-Secondary School Award for the best accounting student. Dr. Atiku began his career as a Graduate Assistant at Bayero University in 1991, where he became a Senior Lecturer. He served in the Debt Management Office, rising to the position of Ag, Director/Head, Organizational Resourcing and Portfolio Management Departments, and gaining a decade of experience in auditing, human resources, accounting and administration. He has held several positions, including Director of the Police Pension and Corporate Services departments in the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate in 2015. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Nigeria University Pension Management Company (NUPEMCO). Dr. Atiku is the Lead at Saleh A.D & CO (Private Accounting Firm) and is a member of several professional bodies, including the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria the Chartered Institute of Loans & Risk Management of Nigeria, the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and the Institute of Treasury Management and Financial Accountants of Nigeria. He has various works and publications to his credit. As a core member of the university management, he is set to join in strengthening the vision and mission of the university, as an exemplary tertiary education establishment, in line with the Founder’s objective and consistent with global best practices.

He obtained his first degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan in 1985, and his Masters and Doctorate degrees in International Relations from the University of Nigeria in 1988 and 1993 respectively. He has specializations in Governance and Democratization, Post-Conflict Peacebuilding, Africa-China Relations, Technology and Development, and Nigeria’s Foreign Policy. He was formerly, Dean, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Baze University; and Head, Division of International Politics at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Lagos where he worked for over two decades. While at the NIIA, he was editor of the Nigerian Journal of International Affairs (NJIA)and the Nigerian Forum for several years. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Baze Journal of Management and Social Sciences.
