Undergraduate Admission Requirement
Applicants must have sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Applicants are required to have credits at WAEC, GCE, or NECO, in at least five (5) subjects, which must include English and four other subjects as may be specified by each College.
The five (5) credits should be obtained at not more than two sittings. (for Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Nursing Science and Physiotherapy programmes, the five credits must be obtained at only one sitting).

Postgraduate Diploma Programmes (PGD)
All candidates are to have five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics where applicable.
Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree from an approved University must obtain a minimum of pass degree in the relevant programme
Holders of HND in relevant programmes from approved institutions with a minimum of Lower Credit may also be considered for admission.
Master’s Degree (M. Sc.) Programme
All candidates are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree obtained from a University approved by Senate and with a grade not less than Second Class Lower Division.
In addition to the above, candidates must satisfy the Ordinary Level requirement of five (5 subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) subject as may be specified for the programme of choice.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme
To be eligible, a candidate must have a relevant Master’s Degree or equivalent from a University approved by Senate and a minimum of weighted average of 60%.
In special cases, a programme may require additional conditions including an interview Candidates with M. Phil degree in relevant programmes.

How To Apply For Admission
Go to the Bowen University application site ugadmissions.bowen.edu.ng to fill out the application form.
Use your JAMB registration number as your username and a default password to create a payment invoice.
Pay the application fee through any of the following: Online payment using an ATM card, Direct bank deposit or transfer to Bowen Microfinance Bank, or Payments at branches of First Bank PLC or Sterling Bank PLC.
Ensure you upload the necessary documents, including your current passport-sized photo, and complete any other required fields accurately.
Include your scratch card PIN for verification of your O’ Level results (e.g., WAEC, NECO).
Once you have successfully applied, ensure that you print the necessary slips for future reference. The screening will be conducted online so you will be able to sit for your screening test at the comfort of your home or any cyber around. Keep an eye out for the Bowen University screening date.

Proceed to make payment for the non-refundable application fee using your ATM card or any of the available online payment options
Step 4: Complete the Application Form
Once payment is successful, access the postgraduate application form.
Fill in all the required details accurately, including your personal information, academic history, and programme of interest.
Step 5: Upload Required Documents
Upload scanned copies (in PDF or JPG format) of the following documents:
