Undergraduate Admission Requirement

UTME & DE Students

  1. Possess at least five (5) relevant O level credit pass (including Mathematics and English Language), in not more than two (2) sittings.
  2. Take the corresponding year’s UTME, with subjects relevant to their preferred course of study.
  3. Candidate must have participated in the recent UTME and have met JAMB’s minimum requirements.
  4. Must have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC(SSCE)/NECO (SSCE)/GCE ) O’LEVEL or its equivalent.
  5. The required credit passes must include English Language and other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study.
    a) Direct entry admission is available into 200 level in all programs.
    b) Candidates for direct entry are required to obtain JAMB entry forms and possess any of the following qualifications.
    i. JUPEB/GCE advanced level passes in relevant subjects.
    ii. OND/NCE with minimum grade of UPPER Credit/Credit respectively
    iii. All direct entry candidates in addition to the above, must satisfy the O’level requirement as appropriate.
  6. Candidates who did not choose Edwin Clark University as first choice in their UTME/JAMB forms should change their first choice of institution
    to Edwin Clark University at any JAMB accredited (CBT) centre nationwide or at Edwin Clark University campus. Then proceed to fill application form online at www.edwinclarkuniversity.edu.ng/admission or download and fill the application form to
    commence the admission process.

Inter-University Transfer

  1. Candidates must possess at least five (5) relevant O level credit pass (including Mathematics and English Language), in not more than two (2) sittings.
  2. Candidates must forward their academic transcript to ECU, through the Registrar of their present University.
  3. Candidates must obtain a CGPA of at least 3.50 prior to the transfer.

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

  1. Candidates for admission should satisfy the O’Level First degree admission requirements of the Edwin University i.e. 5 O’Level credit passes at not more than two sittings including English Language for All Disciplines and mathrmatics for all science courses.

Step 3: Fill in required details

  • Fill out the application form with accurate personal and academic details, including Full name, Date of birth, Contact information, JAMB registration number, O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB).

Step 4: Make Payment

  • Generate an invoice for the non-refundable application fee.
  • Make payment online through the portal using a debit/credit card, or pay via a bank using the provided payment details.

Step 5: Upload Documents

  • Scan and upload the following documents: Recent passport-sized, photograph JAMB result slip, O’Level result(s), Birth certificate or age declaration, Local Government Area (LGA) Certificate of Origin

Step 6: Submit & Print Application Slip

  • Review your application for accuracy.
  • Click on “Submit” to complete the process.
  • After submission, print the application confirmation slip as proof of your application.

Step 7: Monitor Admission Status

  • Await notification from the university for the date, time, and venue of the admission screening exercise. This may include an interview or verification of credentials.

    Before joining Edwin Clark University, Dr Anyim served as University Librarian at Rhema University, where he played a pivotal role in modernising the institution’s library infrastructure. His leadership led to the establishment of a state-of-the-art Postgraduate Library and a dedicated Medical Library, alongside a robust digital ecosystem and sustainable e-learning platforms. Under his stewardship, Rhema University achieved full accreditation for all academic programmes, underscoring his strategic vision and commitment to academic excellence.

    With extensive experience across various library environments, Dr. Anyim has held key positions, including Head of Digital Library, Pioneer Head of the Law Library, and Head of Technical Services at both Salem University, Lokoja, and Kwara State College of Education. His expertise spans hybrid and digital library services, digital archiving, legal research, and technical library operations.

    Beyond academia, Dr. Anyim served as Head of Information, Research and Documentation to the wife of Nigeria’s former Vice President, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, managing her multimillion-dollar legal research library with global influence.

    As a passionate advocate for inclusive education, he founded the Book for Every Child Initiative and the Inclusive Knowledge Access Network, which have provided free books and educational materials to underserved communities in Southern Nigeria.     He attended the following educational Institutions:

    • Nana Primary School, Warri, Delta State.
    • Government College, Ughelli, Delta State from 1970 – 1974
    • University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Rivers State and obtained B. Sc. Degree in Political & Administrative Studies in 1983.
    • Delta State University, Abraka and obtained a Masters in Industrial and Labour Relations in 2000.

    The Registrar had earlier served as government teacher in Delta Careers College, Ugboroke, Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State. Thereafter, he joined the services of College of Education, Agbor as an Administrative Officer where he served as Student Affairs Officer from 2nd January, 1992 to 31st December the same year.

    He was one of the pioneer Staff of Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU). He joined the services of the University on 1st February 1993 till November 19, 2021 when he retired from Service.

    His service in the University afforded him the privilege and opportunity to serve as Assistant Registrar Senate Matters, Senior Assistant Registrar in the Consultant Services, Faculty Officer, Faculty of the Social Sciences. Thereafter he was deployed to become Secretary of Post Graduate School. He also functioned as Head, Academic Division, Head, Administration, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Admission Officer, as well as Head of Establishment Division of the University as Deputy Registrar. This position afforded him the opportunity to head Asaba campus of the University.

Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo, Delta State is a private University Located in  the serene environment of Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria. It was approved by the Federal government of Nigeria, through the National Universities Commission (NUC) as the 60th Private University in Nigeria on 11th May 2015. The University is owned by the Edwin Clark Foundation established in honor of Chief (Dr.) Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON, who is the president of the Foundation. Chief E. K. It was during his tenure as commissioner in Mid-Western Region that the University of Benin was established and he function as the first Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of the University. He was also appointed Pro-Chancellor in Federal University of Technology, Minna in 1983.

Kiagbodo is in the mangrove swamp forest of Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.

The institution is located between latitude 5.37o N and 5.35oN and longitude 5.88o East and 5.89o East of the Greenwich Meridian on an elevation between 5m and 22m above sea level.

Academic activities commenced on 14th September, 2015. However, the installation of the first Chancellor, Chief (Dr.) Edwin Kiagbodo Clark was done during the Maiden Matriculation Ceremony held on 14th November, 2015.

The University has a hybrid library which integrates traditional Library routine service with 21st century digital library services; it is fully equipped with both electronic and conventional library materials.
