About
The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) is a public university in Nigeria, established in 2011. The Federal University, Dutsin-ma is located in Dutsin-ma Local government Area of Katsina State, which is located in the North-Western region of Nigeria, bordering Niger Republic, Kaduna, Kano and Jigawa States.
The establishment of the Federal University Dutsin-ma along with eight other Federal Universities, is in line with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s determination to run a technology driven economy with the aim of achieving the vision 20:2020, to further improve the nation’s knowledge base and expand access to education, which is a defining factor in the establishment of institutions of learning in Nigeria. The overall goal of the establishment was to tackle the challenges of inadequate space for eligible university applicants. Thus the nine new Federal Universities, which were established in States where none existed, are positioned to strike a balance between access, equity and quality, thereby creating an avenue for indigenous appreciation of educational values.

Undergraduate Admission Requirement
The UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of cutoff marks for admission into various courses in the University as follows:
Minimum of 180:
- All courses in the Faculty of Health Science & Technology
- All courses in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences
- All courses in the Faculty of Nursing Sciences
- All courses in the Faculty of Engineering.
- All courses in the Faculty of Law.
Minimum of 160:
- Accounting
- Economics and Development Studies
- Political Science
- Library and Information Science
- Sociology
- Mass Communication
- Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
- Microbiology.
Minimum of 150: All courses not listed above.
Direct Entry Candidates must have at least: Lower Credit in National Diploma and National Innovative Diploma
- Nine (9) points at NCE.
- Nine (9) points (with at least three (3) points in all the courses taken) at IJMB for courses in the College of Health Sciences.
- Six (6) points (with at least one point in all the courses taken) at IJMB for other courses.
All candidates coming for the Post UTME examination/screening and DE screening should come along with all their credentials for verification by the Physical Screening Committees. Please, kindly note that any candidate who did not come along with his credentials will not be attended to/ screened.

Postgraduate Admission Requirments
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programs
Candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements:-
- Possess a Third Class Honours Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Hold an HND (Lower Credit) or OND (Lower Credit) in a relevant field with at least one year of work experience.
PhD Program
- To qualify for a PhD programme, candidates must have a Master’s degree from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, or any other recognized institution.
- Equivalent qualifications may also be accepted, subject to the approval of the university’s Senate.
- Applicants must have obtained a minimum weighted score of 60%, a ‘B’ grade, or a CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale in their Master’s degree program.
- Candidates whose academic background is deemed insufficient for their chosen specialization may be required to take additional courses. The specific courses will be determined by the relevant department in line with postgraduate regulations.r

How To Apply For Admission
UTME
Step 1: Visit the University Portal
Step 2: Create an Account
- Click on “Start here” to begin.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number, active email address, and a password of your cchoice.
Step 3: Verify Your Email
- Check your inbox for a verification link sent to your email.
- Click the link to verify and activate your account.
Step 4: Login to Continue
- Return to the portal and login using your JAMB number and chosen password.
- Click “Continue Application” to proceed.
Step 5: Fill in Your Details
- Enter your personal information (name, gender, date of birth, address, etc.)
- Provide a valid and active phone number
- In the Academic Data section, input a minimum of 5 O’Level subjects with grades or choose “Awaiting Result (AR)” if applicable.
Step 6: Pay the Screening Fee
- Go to the Fees & Charges section.
- Make payment of N2,000 (Two Thousand Naira) only.
- Print the payment receipt and PUTME Schedule Slip after successful payment.
Step 7: CBT Login Credentials
- Two days before your CBT exam, check your email for your CBT login details.
- Post-UTME Screening Test
- Attend the CBT Post-UTME test as scheduled.
- After the test, successful candidates will proceed to physical screening.
Postgraduate
- Login to http://pgs.fudutsinma.edu.ng/apply and do the following:
- Beside "Surname" Type your Surname/Lastname/Father's Name/Family Name (Note: This is a compulsory field)
- Beside "First Name" Type your First Name/Native Name Name (Note: This is a compulsory field)
- Beside "Other Names" Type your Other Names (if any)
- Beside "Email:" Type your current and active e-mail (Note: you will be required to verify this email and all notifications and communications regarding your application process shall be by e-mail. You are therefore advised to use an active e-mail that is personal and which you can always have access to. You will also not be allowed to utilize this email for another application)
- Beside "Mobile No:" Type your current GSM Number (requred format 080X XXX XXXX) (Note: you may be contacted by any of the University officials via this number in the course of processing your application)
- Beside "Faculty:" Select the faculty you are applying to (for a list of faculties, Departments and programmes visit http://spgs.fudutsinma.edu.ng)
- Beside "Programmme:" Select the Programme you are applying for (Note: you are advised to select the Faculty first before selecting the Programme)
- Click on Start Application
- You will get a notification via the email you have specified that will specify your "Application Number" and "Email" you have provided. (Note: you will be required to quote this Application Number throughout the application process)
- You are to activate your account by doing the following:
- login to your email account
- Locate an email titled "Your Application Details" from "School of Postgraduate Studies":
- Open the email (Note, you may find the email in your spam messages folder)
- You will find your "Application Number"and "Email" specified in the e-mail:
- You will also find a link to activate your account.
- Click on the link to activate your account (Note: you will be redirected out of your email account to the applications portal.
- Your account will be verified and activated. You will then be redirected to a page on the applications portal to generate your RRR.
- Your Payment will be verified by and you will get a notification via e-mail when it is done (Note: you will not be allowed to complete the application form without this verification) you are therefore advised to check the following to ensure that your payment has been confirmed:
- Login to your email account
- You will find an email titled "Payment Confirmation" from "School of Postgraduate Studies"
- This is confirmation that you can now login to continue your application
- If you do not get the email immediately after payment, login to the application portal using your "Application Number" and "Email" to check if your payment has been approved.
- If Payment Status is still "PENDING" after payment has been made, click "Refresh Status" to confirm payment. (Note: If you are unable to continue your application due to non confirmation of payment, you can contact us via any of the specified e-mails or phone numbers)
- After "Account Verifcation" (step 2 above) and "Payment Verification" (step 3 above) you can login to the applications portal using your "Application Number" and "Email" to continue your application.
