The University was granted an operational license as a Private University on May 17, 2007, by the Federal Government on the recommendations of the National Universities Commission. Undergraduate Admission Requirement
All prospective candidates are advised to carefully read the following admission requirements before proceeding with their application.
General Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into any undergraduate programme at Fountain University, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of application.
- UTME Score Requirement: All candidates must have scored a minimum of 150 in the 2025 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- O'Level Requirements: Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or their equivalent.
Direct Entry Admission
- For Candidates seeking admission into 200 through JAMB Direct Entry, the required points to qualify for admission into any of our Courses from any recognized A-level certification programme is 5 points.
- However, 7 points apply to Medical Laboratory Science while 9 points apply to both Nursing and Physiotherapy.
Programme-Specific UTME Cut-Off Marks
Some programmes at Fountain University require higher UTME scores due to their competitive nature. In addition to the general UTME requirement, the following specific programmes have higher cut-off marks:
- B.NSc. Nursing Science – Minimum UTME score of 220.
- B.Physiotherapy – Minimum UTME score of 200.
- B.MLS. Medical Laboratory Science – Minimum UTME score of 170
Candidates applying for any of the above-listed programmes must meet both the general admission criteria and the programme-specific UTME score requirement.

Postgraduate Admission Requirments
- Candidates for admission into any Postgraduate programme of Fountain University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State must have obtained at least five (5) credits at not more than two sittings in WASC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB including English Language.
- Graduates of the Fountain University or other Universities recognized by the University Senate who also possess the above qualifications are eligible to apply.

- Click "New Application" and enter your details. Your application number will be emailed to you.
Complete and Submit the Form

Pay the Application Fee (N2,000)

History
The formation of Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society (NASFAT) – the Proprietor of Fountain University- was originally focused on prayer meetings for the Muslim elites, with a view to creating necessary opportunity for them to interact and rub minds with Islamic scholars on the one hand; and to enhance their knowledge about the principles and practices of Islam, on the other hand.

to actualise the birth of the University. This Committee worked tirelessly to put in place the necessary facilities for the University to take-off. The Committee was dissolved in September 2007 upon the inauguration of the Governing Council led by Professor N.O.Adedipe. The first Governing Council completed its first four Year in September 2011 after which it was reconstituted.
