Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) is a private Nigerian university located in Osun State, established in 2006 by the Christ Apostolic Church. It is named after the first spiritual leader of the church, Joseph Ayo Babalola. JABU is known as the "First Entrepreneurial University in Nigeria," emphasizing entrepreneurship education and skill acquisition.

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

  1. Prospective students wishing to apply for undergraduate admission into one of our colleges must possess any one of GCE, O Level, SSCE (WAEC), NECO, NABTEB or its equivalence with minimum credit passes in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics at one or two sittings. 
  2. Applicants must apply for the JABU post-UTME screening which offers candidates who made Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) their institution of first choice and scored 150 and above in their UTME exams to be informed about dates for their screenings. 
  3. Interested candidates who have already applied to JAMB for admission and wish to change their first choice of university to Joseph Ayo Babalola University are required to:
  • Apply for a change of institution through JAMB.
  • Fill out our online application form or obtain a Joseph Ayo Babalola University application form.
  • Participate in the screening exercise.

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

Postgraduate Diploma Admission Requirements

Candidates for an O-level postgraduate diploma must possess the following:

  1. Five O level credits in relevant subjects including English and  Mathematics at not more than two sittings.
  2. Higher National Diploma or its equivalent in a cognate field from a recognised institution, or a minimum of a third-class third-class degree from a recognised university.

Masters Degree Admission Requirements

Candidates for Masters degree programmes must possess the following:

  1. Five O-level credits in relevant subjects including English and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.
  2. First degree in the cognate field from Joseph Ayo Babalola University or any other recognised university with a minimum of second-class honours or postgraduate diploma in cognate area from any recognised institution of learning with a CGPA not less than 4.0 on a 5-point  scale.
  3. Candidates for admission into Food Science and Technology (Master of Science) who graduated with a minimum of second class lower division in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Agriculture, Engineering or any other related disciplines may be considered but such candidates will be required to make up for deficiencies as appropriate.
  4. A graduate with a bachelor of science degree in Insurance and Actuarial Science may be considered for master of Business Administration with an option in Insurance and Risk Management.
  5. A postgraduate degree in Architecture qualifies for admission into a master of science degree programme in Architecture. A candidate other than a graduate of Joseph Ayo Babalola University must produce evidence of industrial training totalling a minimum period of six months.
  6. Candidates will be required to take an oral or written interview.

How To Apply For Admission

Below is a step-by-step process for applying to one of our Joseph Ayo Babalola University programmes. Please follow the following guide to apply online on the university's e-Portal:

1. Visit the online e-Portal.

2. Click the ‘Fill Admission Form’ tab to navigate the application form.

3. Create a student account by completing the form with your details and hitting the ‘Create Account’ button on completion. Please note that you need a valid email address to activate your account.

4. Activate your student account by checking your email inbox (or spam folder) and clicking on the link in your email.

5. Log in to the online e-portal with your student login details.

6. Complete your biodata and upload all required documents. Please note that all required documents must be uploaded in JPEG format.

7. Check your email for a response from the Admissions Officer and further instructions on the screening date.

For Postgraduate: Application forms can be obtained from the Academic Office at Joseph Ayo Babalola University, kilometre 36, Ilesha Akure Road, Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State or any of under listed designated centres on presentation of N10,000 bank draft drawn in favour of Joseph Ayo Babalola University. All drafts must carry the full names of applicants on the reverse side.

Established in 2006 and approved on 8th February 2006 by the Federal Executive Council, Joseph Ayo Babalola University received its license of operations on 6th March 2006 and was opened to students for the 2006/2007 academic session on 25th October 2006.

Established in 2006 in obedience to divine instructions by the Christ Apostolic Church and under the visionary leadership of its then President, Pastor (Dr) E.H.L. Olusheye.
