Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil, is a Nigerian public university located in Wudil, Kano State. It was established in 2000 as "Kano University of Technology" and later renamed to its current name in 2005. The university offers a variety of undergraduate programs, including those in science, technology, and agriculture. It also has a student population of over 7,000 and a dedicated faculty of over 300 instructors.

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

A. General Entry Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
  • Must have written the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored at least 160 or above.
  • Must have chosen Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST) as first choice in JAMB.
  • Candidates who did not select KUST initially must apply for Change of Institution via JAMB.
  • Must participate in the KUST Post-UTME/Screening Exercise

B. Direct Entry Requirements

  • Must possess at least two (2) A-Level passes in relevant subjects.
  • Holders of ND, NCE, or HND with minimum of Lower Credit from recognized institutions are eligible.
  • Must have five (5) O’Level credits including English and Mathematics.
  • Must apply through JAMB Direct Entry and forward academic transcripts to the Registrar, KUST..

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

A. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least a Third Class or HND (Upper Credit) in a relevant field.
  • NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

B. Master’s Degree (M.Sc./M.Eng./MBA)

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division in the relevant field.
  • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
  • Satisfactory academic record and transcript.

C. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

  • Master’s degree in the same or related discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.5/5.0 or equivalent.
  • Submission of a detailed Research Proposal.
