About

Kings University was established in 2015 by King’s Ministries Trust A.K.A. Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), a Protestant Evangelical Ministry. Kings University was granted a provisional license by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Universities Commission on March 4, 2015, and subsequently commenced academic activities on 1st February 2016.  

The University is anchored on a philosophy of excellence in teaching and research, underpinned by a set of shared core values which include but are not limited to a commitment to excellence, respect for academic freedom, a culture of performance, rewarding achievement, engagement of all staff and students, and fostering partnerships. At Kings University, we are poised to create leaders and transform the minds of the coming generation to change society.  

As a faith-based institution of higher learning, Kings University is committed to helping students grow in Christ-likeness. Our staff is therefore expected to be servant-leaders in the course of all interactions with students and to exhibit leadership values of compassion, humility, and discipline.     As an ICT-driven institution with the mission to generate, disseminate, preserve and apply knowledge using Information technology. The University has installed internet and intranet facilities, a fully deployed Learning Management System (KULMS) to support virtual teaching, engagement, and also for conducting examinations.

    The classrooms are fitted with multimedia projectors, and allow the use of multimedia-enabled phones and other electronic devices to encourage mobile learning and beyond the classroom interaction between staff and students. Application forms may be obtained and completed online from the University Portal at http://kingsuniversity.edu.ngor portal.kingsuniversity.edu.ng

The application fee of twenty-five thousand Naira (N 25,000.00) is to be paid online through the Kings University WebPAY platform. All candidates seeking admission into Tertiary Institutions and who have satisfied criteria for their degree programmes of choice as advertised and met JAMB minimum requirement are eligible.

Please ensure you complete your information correctly in the subsequent forms presented and submit as appropriate. You will be required to upload a passport photograph image of yourself which should not be more than 50 Kb in file size and the Width and Height is between 150 and 250 Pixels.

Professor Adenike Kuku

Professor Adenike Kuku assumed the office of the Vice-Chancellor of Kings University on 1st January, 2020. She hails from Osun State, Nigeria. Her academic and intellectual activities had gone beyond the shores of Africa. She is a Fellow of the TRIL (Training in Italian Laboratories) Fellowship and a Research Associate of the AbdulSalam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Italy.

She is an awardee of the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization); a  Grant that took her to Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture, International School of Crystallography, Erice, Italy; and TETFUND scholarship to the same Institution.

    In 2016, Dr. (Mrs.) joined the service of Wesley University, Ondo State. She was employed as an academic staff in the Department Business Administration. During her stay in Wesley University, she taught several courses in the field of Business Administration at the undergraduate level. At the university, she was assigned several administrative duties such as Head of Department, Part Adviser and Project Coordinator. In all these positions, she performed creditably well. 

History

Kings University was granted a provisional license by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Universities Commission on March 4, 2015, and commenced academic activities on February 1, 2016. However, prior to the commencement of academic activities, an Implementation Committee (IPC) was put in place under the Chairmanship of Prof. Sola Akinrinade, the former and pioneer VC, Osun State University to develop a strategic plan for the institution.
