Founded by Chief Kola Daisi and owned by the Kola Daisi Foundation (KDF), KDU's mission is to produce graduates with high employability, contributing to Nigeria's global standing. He began his working career with internship between 1989 and 1990 at Adegboyega Adeleke & Co and Nnamanso Ekanem & Co. He also worked in the Oyo State service at the Ministry of Justice, Ibadan between 1990 and 1994. His academic career began at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in 1994, from there, he rose through the ranks with hardwork and diligence at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife till he became a Reader on the 1st of October 2009. He was pronounced a Professor 31st May, 2013 at the University of Ibadan. He taught courses in Private International Law, Criminal Law, Environmental Law, Land Law, Jurisprudence &Legal Theory, and Public International Law among many others.
He has over 27 years’ experience in teaching, research and community service in the University system.
Her doctoral research focused on the epidemiology and control of the guinea worm disease in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, Nigeria. Her PhD. research was partly supported by United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF). She worked in 15 villages, collaborating with WATSAN and UNICEF to facilitate the installation of boreholes for potable water in select communities. Additionally, she proactively addressed the issue of guinea worm spread by treating ponds in her study villages with AbateTM. This strategic intervention played a pivotal role in curbing the transmission of guinea worm, ultimately contributing to the successful eradication of the disease in her study area.
Following her doctoral studies, she was awarded a MIM/TDR postdoctoral fellowship for training at the Division of Parasitology, National Institute of Medical Research in London, as well as a TWAS-DBT postdoctoral fellowship for training at the National Institute of Malaria Research in Delhi, India. She has a Certificate in International Health Research Ethics from the Harvard School of Public Health, United States.
He previously taught at North-West University, Mafikeng, South Africa. A former Cadbury Fellow at the Centre for West African Studies, University of Birmingham, Jendele was a recipient of the Volkswagen Stiftung Doctoral Fellowship and has shared his research at many local and international fora. His scholarship draws partly from his experience as a broadcast journalist and television content producer having served fifteen years in the industry. His current research is on Interactive Media and the Performance of Identities in Nigeria and South Africa.
His academic career began at Ogun State University in 1995 as a Lecturer I. He later joined the University of Lagos as a Lecturer II and rose through the ranks to become a Professor in 2018.
Professor Olusola is a prolific researcher and has published numerous articles in both international and local journals. He has also actively participated in various professional seminars and workshops, where he has presented insightful research papers. His areas of expertise include Constitutional Law, Law of Evidence, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, and Human Rights Law.
