Kwararafa University Wukari is a private university located in Wukari, Nigeria, and the first community-promoted university in the country. It was licensed as Wukari Jubilee by the National Universities Commission in 2005 and later changed its name to Kwararafa in 2012. The university's motto is "Education for Total Development".

With more than three decades of work experience in the University system, Prof. S. P. Bako started his career as a Graduate Assistant with the Department of Biological Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1987. He rose through the ranks and became a Professor in 2006. Before he was appointed Vice-Chancellor of Taraba State University on 1st March 2022, the astute University administrator was the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of Kwararafa University Wukari.
