Legacy University Okija is one of the eight private universities approved in 2016 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The university received approval from the Federal Executive Council on November 2, 2016, and obtained its license from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on November 22, 2016. Located in a serene environment at Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria, the university spans over 100 hectares. It is situated in the village of Ubahumonum, approximately 20 kilometers from Onitsha, along the Onitsha-Owerri expressway, and about 3 kilometers off the express road.
