About

Established in 2000, Niger Delta University (NDU) is a Bayelsa State Government-funded university located on Wilberforce Island, about 30 kilometers from Yenagoa, the state capital. The university's logo reflects the riverine and petroleum-rich milieu of the state, while its vision and mission are summarized in the motto: Creativity, Excellence, Service. Since academic activities started in the 2001/2002 session, NDU has grown from an intake of 1,039 students to a thriving population of more than 20,000 students and 3,518 academic and non-academic staff. The university has a main campus and a College of Health Sciences campus in Wilberforce Island, and a satellite campus housing the Faculty of Law in the state capital. NDU provides students with the opportunity to change their lives in a friendly environment, with academic and non-academic staff creating a conducive academic environment focusing on the development of students' abilities.

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

  1. Candidate must obtain a minimum of five credit passes in their Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE), including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings. 
  2. Candidate must also meet the university's Post-UTME cut-off mark, have applied to NDU
  3. Candidate must complete the online screening and clearance process
  4. Candidates must be at least 16 years old to be eligible for admission.

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

  • A graduate application form.
  • A copy of their Bachelor's degree.
  • Official transcript(s) of their undergraduate records.
  • One recent passport-size photos.
  • Two letters of recommendation.

  1. O'Level results (e.g., WAEC/NECO) with five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics
  2. Bachelor's degree transcripts or Master's degree transcripts.
  3. Higher National Diploma (HND) result if applying for a postgraduate diploma
  4. A completed application form from the university's student portal.

Complete Online Screening

Complete the online screening application form on the applicant portal (portal.uniniger.edu.ng/applicant)

Upload Required Documents

Upload your Passport Photo, O'Level, and JAMB results. 

Submit and Track your Application

After submission, you can log in with your payment email and JAMB number to track your application status. 

Print Admission Letter

Click on Admission on the menu and type in your application form number to download and print admission letter

Pay Acceptance Fee

Log on to ndufees.com to pay acceptance fee. Print the receipt and use the receipt number to continue the clearance process.

Fill Clearance Form and Download Documents

CLick On Clearance on the menu and fill the form and click on proceed. Fill all the forms and upload the required documents. Download the necessary documents and proceed for physical verification
