In 2016, she was awarded a Doctoral Research Fellowship by the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Trieste, Italy tenable at the University of Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa. She is a member of Nigeria Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB), Nigeria Society of Experimental Biology (NISEB), Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Trieste, Italy.
Her research interests are in Cloud & Edge Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Autonomous Database Systems, Parallel and Distributed Data Processing & Analytics, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. Dr. Bilkisu is committed to academic excellence and is interested in working with potential MSc. and PhD. candidates. She is also open to interdisciplinary research collaborations.
The University was established to provide high-quality tertiary education for the country’s ever-increasing number of secondary school leavers. At the time of formation, Nile University had three faculties (Arts & Social Sciences, Engineering, and Natural & Applied Sciences) and 93 students.
