Ritman University is a premier private institution in Akwa Ibom State dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, and character development. Located in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, the university is committed to equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive in a dynamic and ever-evolving world.

The university has three faculties : The Faculty of Humanities; Faculty of  Natural and Applied Sciences; and Faculty of Social and Management Sciences.

Ritman University offers a broad range of undergraduate programmes across our faculties, including Computer Science, CyberSecurity, Software Engineering, Social Sciences, Management, and Humanities. Our curriculum is designed to prepare students for global competitiveness with a strong emphasis on STEM education, leadership training, and digital literacy

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

JAMB

To be considered for admission, applicants must:

1.  Have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in WAEC/NECO/GCE, including English and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.
2. Meet the JAMB UTME cut-off mark for their chosen course.
3. Submit all required documents for screening and verification.

Direct Entry

Applicants must:

1. Have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in WAEC/NECO/GCE, including English and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.
2. Candidates with OND, NCE, IJMB, or A-Level qualifications can apply for Direct Entry admission into 200-level programs.

JUPEB

1. Students who have not written JAMB’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination or who did not score up to 140 as required by JAMB have an opportunity to be admitted into Ritman University through the  (JUPEB) programme.
2. JUPEB (JBS) ADMISSION REQUIREMENT:
3. Five (5) Credits in WAEC/NECO at not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics

How To Apply For Admission

1. Check eligibility: 5 O’Level credits (incl. English & Maths; max two sittings).
2. UTME route: have a valid JAMB score and pick Ritman as First Choice (or do Change of Institution).
3. Direct Entry: hold A-Level/OND/NCE/IJMB (plus the O’Levels).
4. Go to the Ritman University Admissions Portal and create an account.
5. Fill the online application form (UTME or Direct Entry).
6. Pay the application/screening fees on the portal and keep your receipt.
7. Upload documents: passport photo, O’Level result(s), JAMB/DE slip, proof of payment (and any other required ID/birth certificate).
8. Submit and print your application slip.
9. Attend the screening (CBT/aptitude test) on the scheduled date with your printed slip and documents.
10. Check admission status on the Ritman portal and on JAMB CAPS; accept the offer when it appears.
11. Pay acceptance fee and complete clearance/verification (online and/or on campus).
12. Pay school fees, register courses, choose accommodation (if needed), complete medicals, and attend orientation/ICT training.

History

Ritman University, a private institution, was founded in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, on November 23, 2015. It is the culmination of the educational endeavors of the Ritman Group of Companies, which was established by Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien in 1987. The university's motto is "Knowledge for Development", and it is also positioned as an entrepreneurship university.
