Undergraduate Admission Requirement

UTME

The minimum study requirements into Southwestern University are credit level passes in five (5) subjects including English Language and Mathematics in the SSCE/GCE, NABTEB, NECO or it equivalents in not more than two sittings.

DIRECT ENTRY

(1) Candidates with A/level passes of relevant subjects to the course of study or

(2) JUPEB/ND passes at Lower Credit may be offered admission into 200L of the chosen programme provided that he/she meet up with the minimum requirements as stated above is satisfied.

(3) Candidates with HND passed at Upper Credit may be admitted into 300L degree provided that he/she meet up with the minimum admission requirement stated above

b HND–B. SC. CONVERSION PROGRAMMES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, goal-driven candidates for admission into the HND – B.Sc. Conversion Programmes in the Academic disciplines listed on the undergraduate above.

Supporting Documents

Completed application form (online or printed) and proof of application fee payment.
A recent passport-sized photograph.
O’Level results (e.g., SSCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) showing five (5) credit passes (including English Language & Mathematics) in not more than two sittings.
Joint Admissions & Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME result slip for UTME-applicants.
For Direct Entry applicants: A-Level/JUPEB/NCE/ND/HND results as applicable
Birth certificate or age declaration.
Secondary school testimonial or certificate of completion.
A set of photocopies of the above plus originals for verification at screening.

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

Possession of a minimum O/L certificate (five credits including English and Mathematics) is required.

PGD: HND or at least a Third Class degree + relevant professional certificate.
MBA: Any professional certificate, HND, PGD or first degree in any discipline.
MSc (Academic Master’s): At least a Second Class Lower degree in relevant discipline.
PhD: A relevant and acceptable MSc and/or MPhil degree (depending on discipline).

Copies of all relevant academic certificates (Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree where applicable) and academic transcripts.
O’Level certificate (five credits including English & Math) in some cases.
For PGD: HND or at least Third Class degree plus relevant professional qualification.
For Master’s: Minimum Second Class Lower (2:2) degree in relevant discipline (for some programmes).
For PhD: A relevant Master’s degree (MSc/MPhil) from a recognized institution.
