St George's, University of London (SGUL), legally the St George's Hospital Medical School, was a public medical school from 1733 to 2024 in South London, England. It merged with City, University of London to form City St George's, University of London in August 2024. The names "City, University of London" and "St George’s, University of London" will provisionally continue as trading names until March 2025.

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

To enter an undergraduate degree course at City St George's, 

  • You must satisfy City St George's general minimum requirement of passes in two subjects at GCE A-level or equivalent. 
  • We accept a wide range of equivalent qualifications to A-levels.

You must also meet the specific requirements of the course you're applying for, which may be higher than City St George's minimum requirements.

Finally, you must be accepted by the course admissions tutor.

When you make your application, the actual offer you receive may differ from the requirement listed on the course page. As many of As many of our courses are very competitive, possessing the minimum requirement does not guarantee admission.

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

  • A UK upper second-class degree or higher, or the equivalent from an overseas institution, in a related subject.
  • English Language Requirements.
  • Applicants for all postgraduate degree courses should normally hold a university honours degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate subject.

If you don't hold an honours degree or equivalent but you have suitable experience and/or professional qualifications, you may still be accepted for a master's degree or postgraduate diploma at the discretion of the relevant department.

Before registration, you will need to submit original certificates or certified copies of your relevant degrees and other qualifications.

Library: City is home to three specialist libraries and library services. We provide a dedicated, professional and responsive library service across the three campuses of City, University of London.

Our collections of print and online resources support the teaching and research activities of the institution. There are different libraries.

Sport: City Sport is the sports and fitness center of City St George's, University of London providing fitness, wellbeing and sporting opportunities to City students, staff and alumni, as well as students from other universities, local residents and corporate organizations.

The building is rated BREEAM excellent and prides itself on its environmental responsibilities.

Gym: City Sport's 120+ station gym includes the latest cardiovascular and resistance equipment from Matrix and an extensive range of free weights and functional training rigs. City Sport offer a wide range of classes that are delivered by highly-qualified instructors in five spacious fitness studios, with natural light and sprung wooden flooring.
