  • Library: The Library is at the centre of campus. Several additional services are available in the building, including the Security Desk.
  • Research Center: Facilities available for biosciences students, researchers and industry. Many of the facilities are centrally managed with a wide range of techniques available and staffed by dedicated research officers.
  • Accommodation: There is accommodation for undergraduate, postgraduate, pre-sessional and exchange students, both on campus and in the city centre.
  • Sports: Open all week to staff, students and public, the Sports training village is a renowned £30m sport and fitness centre with gym, sports, coaching, physiotherapy and sport science services.
  • Place of Worship: The Chaplaincy is both a place and a team of people. They are available for people of all faiths and no faith - all students and staff, to offer counsel, advice or just a listening ear.

History

The Royal Charter was granted in 1966, officially establishing the Bath University of Technology, and the first students and staff began using the campus. Many of them had transferred from Bristol College of Science and Technology. In the first year, there were 1,145 undergraduates, 115 postgraduates and 470 members of staff
