Undergraduate Admission Requirement

  • Minimum JAMB score of 160
  • Five (5) O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics
  • Other subject requirements as relevant to chosen course

Supporting Documents

  1. O’Level result certificate(s) (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent) showing at least five (5) credits, including English Language & Mathematics.
  2. Your UTME result slip (for UTME applicants) and proof that you selected SUNO as your first choice institution in JAMB. 
  3. Birth certificate or statutory declaration of age. 
  4. Recent passport-sized photographs. 
  5. For Direct Entry (DE) candidates: appropriate DE qualification (OND/NCE/HND with necessary credit, or A-Level passes) plus O’Level result. 
  6. Application/Screening fee payment receipt or other proof of payment (if required for that session).

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

  • Valid Statement of Result or Certificate
  • NYSC Certificate or Exemption Letter
  • Five (5) O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics
  • Relevant Professional Certification (where applicable)

  2. Bachelor’s degree certificate from a recognised university (for PGD/MSc) with a minimum class as specified (e.g., 2:2 for MSc). 
  3. Academic transcript(s) from your university degree.
  4. For PhD/MPhil: Master’s degree certificate (or equivalent) with required CGPA/score, plus a research proposal if required. 
  5. Recent passport-sized photograph.
  6. Birth certificate or declaration of age.
  7. Application fee payment proof.
  8. Any additional documents specified by the department (e.g., reference letters, NYSC discharge/exemption certificate if Nigerian). Some external sources for SUNO mention NYSC certificate for PG application.

Higher Education Committee with a view to actualizing the dreams and yearnings of members. On 3 April 2004, the National Executive Committee meeting Society resolved to locate the University at Offa, Kwara State. On June 2005, the Society applied formally for operating licence for its private university from the National Universities Commission (NUC) Abuja.
