Reasons to Study at University College London

  1. Cutting-Edge Faculties

We are investing in a university fit for the 21st century and beyond. At UCL you'll find all the cutting-edge facilities you need to achieve great things. We are over halfway through our 10-year, £1.25 billion investment in creating sustainable spaces and best-in-class facilities – giving our staff and students the tools to take their learning and discoveries further – with many award-winning developments in Bloomsbury already completed.

  2. Entrepreneurship

Whether you want to boost your employability, tackle global issues, or start your own venture, we can help develop entrepreneurial skills and support you to achieve your goals. UCL Innovation & Enterprise can help you to develop transferable entrepreneurial skills and start your own venture. You can benefit from our free extracurricular activities, regardless of study, experience, or interest in entrepreneurship.

  3. Vibrant Social Life

As a student, you are automatically a member of Students' Union UCL, and UCL's policy of keeping Wednesday afternoons free of teaching allows you to take part in social or sporting activities. The Students’ Union is here to help you do more at UCL, to make the most of London and the opportunities you have here. As soon as you join UCL, you become a member of the Union and can start taking advantage of all the things they have to offer.

  4. Local and Global Impact

As London’s Global University, UCL works with partners locally, nationally, and across the world to co-create fair solutions to pressing challenges. Through research, teaching, and innovation, we are continually making an impact on the world we live in. An independent report into the university’s economic and social impact, issued in June 2022, found that UCL’s annual impact of £9.9bn across the UK economy.

  5. Transformation Lives Through Collabration and Knowledge Exchange

Knowledge exchange is a two-way exchange of research, ideas, and expertise between universities and organizations and communities outside of academia, to solve societal problems, and accelerate innovation and change. Knowledge exchange can take many forms. From working with businesses and the public and third sectors, to public and community engagement, to students starting their own ventures, and staff commercializing their research into spinout companies.
