• Library: They offer access to over 220,000 print books, and in their digital library to over 450,000 ebooks and 25,000 journals. Their network of libraries offers you inspiring, accessible and safe spaces in which to study.  
• Laboratory: At their campus, the modern science labs and teaching facilities are designed to provide you with hands-on, practical experience.
• Research Center: University of Cumbria is committed to supporting their 'world-leading' researchers throughout their state of the art research centres.
• Accommodation: The university provides a range of campus accommodation to cater for all budgets, offering excellent value for money across a range of room type options.
• Sports: UoC Active supports the wellbeing of the students, staff and community through providing a range of gym facilities, exercise classes, sports events, activities and community partnerships.
• ICT: University computers are located in Computer Rooms and Libraries. They are available to all registered students and are generally available on a first-come first-served basis, but be aware that some computer rooms are bookable and may be in use for teaching.

History

The University of Cumbria was formed in 2007 by the merger of St Martin’s College, Cumbria Institute of the Arts and University of Central Lancashire’s Cumbria sites, operating from campuses spread across Cumbria and North Lancashire.
