University of Mkar, Mkar is a private faith-based university established by the Universal Reformed Christian Church (URCC) better known as the Nongu u Kristu u I Ser Sha Tar - NKST. The apex level institution was licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on the 6th day of June 2005 to operate as a private university. It is a crown jewel institution of the NKST that is passionate about academic excellence, character development and value addition that puts God at the centre of learning. The university has had four Vice-Chancellors since inception. The pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Mrs) Nancy Ngunan Agbe (2005-2011); was succeeded by Prof. Emmanuel Hemen Agba (2011-2016). The third Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Iorwuese Dickson Gernah whose tenure ended in September 2021 was succeeded by Prof. Zacharys Anger Gundu on 1st September, 2021. The University of Mkar, Mkar is located at the foot of the Mkar Hills in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria.

To be eligible for postgraduate studies at the University of Mkar, candidates generally need a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a recognized institution, with a minimum of a Second Class Lower division for Master's programs and an M.Phil. or Master's degree with a thesis for Doctorate programs

Step 2: Confirm eligibility: 5 O’Level credits (incl. English & Maths) and meet the current JAMB cut-off for your course.

Step 5: Fill the online form (bio data, programme, O’Level, UTME details).
Step 6: Pay the application/screening fee via the portal (keep your receipt).
Step 7: Upload documents: passport photo, O’Level result(s), JAMB result slip, birth/age certificate (as requested).
Step 8: Submit and print your acknowledgement/application slip.
Step 9: Attend Post-UTME screening on the scheduled date with your originals and printouts.
Step 10: Check admission status on the UMM portal and JAMB CAPS, Accept offer if admitted.
Step 11: Pay acceptance fee, do clearance/verification, pay school fees, register courses, and secure accommodation if needed.
