It was established in 1975 as University College, Port Harcourt and was given university status in 1977. School 1 (one) Elele – Alimini, for his primary Education and County Grammer School, Ikwerre /Etche for his Post Primary and later gained admission into the University of Port Harcourt to study Accounting in 1989.
He graduated with Second Class Honours. He proceeded to Benue State for his National Youth Service Corps where he diligently completed his service in 1995.
He joined the services of the University of Port Harcourt in 1997 as Accountant 11 and rose through the ranks to the position of Acting Bursar, the position he occupies till date.
He returned to the classroom and obtained MSc in Accounting in 2015, PhD Accounting in 2021.
She attended State School Choba, and had her first School Leaving Certificate in 1977. Thereafter she proceeded to Government Secondary School Eberi-Omuma, Etche (Pioneer Student), had her West African School Certificate Exam in 1982 and 1986 respectively. She proceeded to Rivers State College of Education where she obtained her National Certificate of Education (NCE) and B.Ed in Educational Psychology Guidance & Counselling in 1989 & 1993 respectively. Had her M.Ed and Ph.D in Educational Psychology Guidance & Counselling in 2011 & 2019 respectively.She joined the service of the University of Port Harcourt in the year 1994 after she was done with her NYSC at the University Demonstration Secondary School (UDSS).
She rose through the ranks to the Position of Deputy Registrar in the 2018 and subsequently appointed substantive Registrar of the University of Port Harcourt.
He was an auxiliary teacher at his alma matar BMGS Bori before proceeding to FCE Pankshin (NCE 1984). He served NYSC in 1985. In 1990 he joined services of UDSS Uniport and rose to the rank of Vice Principal and Acting Principal. He obtained B.Sc (ed) Calabar (1988), M.Ed (1997) and Ph.D (2005) in Educational Administration, University of Port Harcourt. Appointed Lecturer II in University of Port Harcourt in November 2, 2005. Promoted to rank of Professor in October 2018.
