  • Library: The John E. Robbins Library is situated on Treaty 2 territory, the traditional homelands of the Dakota, Anishanabek, Oji-Cree, Cree, Dene and Metis peoples. The library serves Brandon University faculty and students, as well as alumni and the greater Westman community. We provide access to resources physically as well as through various databases, and offer services such as reference and research help or instruction.
  • Accommodation: There are three different residences, each connected to the others and to Harvest Hall by glass-enclosed hallways. Rooms includes all the furniture you will need! A bed, dresser, bookshelf, chair, and night table is provided for each occupant. Sheets, blanket and pillow are available upon request All rooms have WiFi internet.
  • Gym: Brandon University has gym facilities, including the Healthy Living Centre and its Main Gym. Other gym-related spaces on campus include the Henry Champ Gym. 
  • Place of Worship: Members of the Brandon University community have a new space on campus for private prayer, religious reflection and meditation with the opening of a dedicated multi-faith in the Queen Elizabeth II Music Building. The new space is located in a naturally quiet area, and features accommodations for adherents of faiths that require the removal of shoes or the washing of hands and feet. It is carpeted, has a shoe rack, and has been fitted with an ablution station.
  • Laboratory: Across the Brandon University campus there are state-of-the-art research laboratories and facilities with high calibre equipment. Researchers undertake a variety of projects and are involved with both internal and external collaborators. Students are able to become involved in research projects and receive hands-on training, enabling the next generation of researchers, scholars, and highly qualified personnel (HQP).

History

Brandon University is Canada’s finest Regional University, which was established in 1899 as a Baptist institution, called the Brandon College. Established as an affiliate of McMaster University, it was chartered to the status of the University in 1967.
