• Library: CQU Library offers extensive online resources, including research guides, datasets, and databases, accessible via Library Search, with specific services like eReading lists for teaching and research support for data management. While physical study spaces are available at campuses, alumni and students from other universities (via Eduroam) can use these spaces but have limited access to computers or printing, focusing primarily on digital access and research support for its broader community. 
• Research Center: Central Queensland University research facilities are diverse, featuring specialized labs for marine science (CMERC), advanced technology centers like ATIC, and infrastructure for health, rail, and environmental research, leveraging unique Queensland ecosystems with high-tech equipment, boats, growth chambers, and analytical tools to support applied research across its many locations. 
• Accommodation: Central Queensland University offers diverse on-campus and off-campus housing, generally featuring modern facilities like private rooms (often with ensuites), shared kitchens/living areas, study spaces, and social hubs, varying by location and type (catered, self-catered, residential colleges). Facilities usually include Wi-Fi, security, laundry, and common rooms, aiming to provide a supportive and engaging community experience for students, with costs and services differing between sites.

Although active in the practice of his medical profession, Dr. Batacan returned to UP Los Baños and joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at the Institute of Biological Sciences from 2002 to 2007.
