Admission

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

  • An international student should receive a Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) score level 3 or higher.
  • Minimum accepted scores are: TOEIC 700, TOEFL iBT 71, TEPS 600, New TEPS 327, IELTS 5.5 from a recognized English proficiency test. ( e.g., TOEIC, TOEFL, TEPS)
  • Level 3 or higher on a test of Korean proficiency at the CNU Language Education Center
  • Level 4 or higher upon completion of a Korean Language course at the CNU Language Education Center

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

  • Master's Degree Program
    • To be admitted as a graduate student, an applicant must have obtained a bachelor’s or higher degree, prior to the start of the CNU term for which the student is admitted, from an accredited college or university or the equivalent degree from a recognized international institution.
  • Doctoral Degree Program
    • To be admitted as a graduate student, an applicant must have obtained a master or higher degree, prior to the start of the CNU term for which the student is admitted, from an accredited college or university or the equivalent degree from a recognized international institution.
  • Integrated Master’s & Doctoral Degree Program
    • To be admitted as a graduate student, an applicant must have obtained a bachelor’s or higher degree, prior to the start of the CNU term for which the student is admitted, from an accredited college or university or the equivalent degree from a recognized international institution.

How To Apply For Admission

Online Application Process 

  1. ) Sign up and log in to the online application program (JINHAK APPLY) via gest admissions web site. (https://gest.cnu.ac.kr)

     2) Check the important notes for all applicants. Follow the instructions carefully and type in all the required information for each step      of the online application. 

     3) Fill out the application form at the gest website (https://gest.cnu.ac.kr), according to the specifications in the section titled “???     ?(Apply)”. ? Applicants must upload a recent photograph(3.5×4.5cm) via the on-line application. 

     4) The application fee (60,000 KRW or 50 USD) must be paid online within application period. ? Application fee must be paid by the        deadline. 

     Applicants cannot change his/her major and correct anything on the application form once the application fee is paid. Check again to        see if there is any error before payment. ? Applicants are responsible for any disadvantages if there are any false statements in the        application forms. 

     5) After paying the fee, print out the online letter cover, application form, and the other forms. Fill out the other forms for                      submission. ? They can be found on the gest admissions website : (http://gest.cnu.ac.kr) 

    6) Submit the application form and required documents together. ? Print out an application form and attach on the form directly. (The      attached photo must be with white background.)
