About

Gachon University is a comprehensive private university established in 2012 through the integration of four institutions: Gachon Medicine College, Kyungwon University, Gachon Gil University, and Kyungwon College. It operates a Global Campus in Seongnam and a Medical Campus in Incheon, offering programmes ranging from medicine and pharmacy to engineering, business, humanities, and emerging technologies.

   Gachon University is a comprehensive four-year university formed through the integration of Gachon Gil University, Gachon Medical School, Kyungwon University, and Kyungwon College. It operates two campuses in Seongnam and Incheon. As of April 2020, it had 21,077 students, including 2,399 graduate students, and comprised 14 colleges, 8 faculties with 19 majors, 44 departments.    Gachon University stands out in the Seoul Metropolitan area for housing a Medical College, School of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, and College of Nursing. Its research excellence is driven by three world-class hubs: the Gachon Neuroscience Research Institute, Lee Gil Ya Cancer and Diabetes Institute, and Gachon Bio-Nano Research Center. The medical college commands top freshman admission grades nationally and recorded the highest competition rate in 2018 non-scheduled admissions.

3. University with Excellent Campus Education Environment

   Gachon University enhanced its campus environment with the Vision Tower in 2010 and Gachon Hall in 2014, while building a third student residence. A major strength of the Global Campus is accessibility: Gachon University Subway Station directly connects to the campus via an underground passage, and a dedicated transit stop on the Seoul External Ring Expressway offers seamless public transportation access.

4. Creating an Educational Environment for International Students

   The Office of International Affairs offers a one-stop support center for international students online and offline. At the Gachon International Center, a resident professor provides counseling on academic life, careers, immigration, and health. To assist those facing language barriers, the Gachon TOPIK Center provides systematic Korean learning support. Additionally, real-time counseling is accessible for students abroad via social media and the International Affairs Department website.

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

• A person whose parents and the individual are both foreign nationals
• High school graduates (or prospective graduates) who have completed the entire regular curriculum equivalent to elementary and secondary education in the Republic of Korea, or those possessing equivalent academic qualifications.
