  • Library: The SNU Library, which opened in 1946 with the opening of Seoul National University, is a historic cradle of intellect that contains the sweat and effort made by our students over the past 78 years, and has led the academic development of Korea. The SNU Library holds the largest collection of materials in Korea, with over 5.3 million volumes of books and more than 470,000 types of academic journals and electronic journals. It consists of the main building, focused on academic materials, the Kwanjeong building, a space customized for users, and 9 branch libraries that are organically interconnected and operated jointly. The SNU Library will continue to fulfill its mission to nurture global leaders with LikeSNU, a big data-based knowledge information platform that will serve as a map and compass for Seoul National University's intellect.

     
  • Housing: The Gwanak Residence Halls hosts undergraduates, graduates, and families numbering over 6,000 people and hailing from over 80 countries. The diversity of personalities, cultures, and educations on display will promote coexistence and harmony within the shared space.

     
  • Cafeteria: On-campus cafeterias mainly offer Korean cuisine at a wide range of prices from about KRW 2,200 to KRW 15,000 per meal. A typical menu would be noodles or rice and soup with three to four side dishes (including kimchi). Western-style menu is available from time to time as the menus continue to change.

 

  • Sports: Activities: Department of Physical Education major and general education courses, athletic and other club activities, other priority/regular reserved events. Related events: indoor court (basketball, badminton, handball, volleyball), physical fitness center, dancing room, judo gym, taekwondo studio, boxing gym, turnhall.
