Admission

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

1) Foreign individuals whose parents, in accordance with Article 29, Paragraph 2, Clause 6 of the Enforcement Decree of the Higher Education Act, are both foreigners.

Including individuals who have acquired foreign nationality, where both the parents and the applicant, before commencing an educational curriculum equivalent to that of high school in South Korea, have obtained foreign nationality

 2) Applicant should have graduated(or be expected to graduate) from high school or recognized as the same level of education according to the law, the applicant must have completed a minimum of 12 years of elementary and secondary education ? If the applicant’s home country has an education curriculum of less than 12 years, the completion of a primary and secondary education will be considered as high school graduate level of education.

 Time spent at nurseries, kindergartens, language training programs, and lifelong education centers before elementary school will not be counted toward formal education. 

School qualification exams, homeschooling and online education will not be considered valid

 3) Language Proficiency Requirement 

A) Korean 

Requires at least one of the following : TOPIK(PBT, IBT) Level 3 certificate, SCH Korean Test Level 3 and above, KIIP(Korea Immigration & Social Integration Program) Level 3 certificate, KIIP Placement Test score of 61 points, or King Sejong Institute Korean Intermediate Level 1 certificate (not applicable to online King Sejong Institute and other online courses) 

For Art and Physical Education majors : A minimum of TOPIK level 2 or SCH Korean Test level 2 and above is required.

All departments under the International College and bilingual programs : No Korean language proficiency requirements

 B) English 

Official English proficiency test score [TOEFL iBT 59, IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, NEW TEPS 202 or higher]

Only for applicants to English-track programs (Global Open Major - International Studies, Global Health)

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

Master's Program and Integrated Master's and Doctoral Program

1. Graduates or prospective graduates of four-year universities
2. Pursuant to Article 33 of the Higher Education Act, those recognized by relevant laws as possessing an educational level equivalent to or higher than the above. Applicants holding a bachelor's degree after graduation from the Credit Bank System, Korea Open University, or Cyber ??University are all eligible to apply.
3. Persons who have obtained a bachelor's degree from a foreign university or persons recognized by the Minister of Education as having equivalent qualifications.
4. For other specific application details by department, please refer to the 'Admissions Guidelines'.

B. Doctoral Program and Integrated Master's and Doctoral Program

1. Master's degree holders and prospective holders
2. Pursuant to Article 33 of the Higher Education Act, those recognized by relevant laws as possessing an educational level equivalent to or higher than the above.
    Applicants holding a bachelor's degree after graduation from the Credit Bank System, Korea Open University, or Cyber ??University are all eligible to apply.
3. A person with qualifications equivalent to or higher than a master's degree holder who has been recognized by this Graduate School Committee
4. Graduates of specialized graduate schools or professional graduate schools
    However, completion of additional required courses may be necessary depending on departmental circumstances.

• Accommodation: Soonchunhyang university has seven on-campus dormitories which provide housing to about 4,121 students. To live in the dorms, a tuberculin skin test or chest x-ray result dated within 1 month of the dorm move-in date is required.

• Cafeteria: Soonchunhyang University offers a wide variety of food choices and dining options on campus that are delicious, as well as affordable.

• Gym (Fitness Center)

        Location : Hyangseol dorm 1(1st floor), Hyangseol dorm 2( 1st basement)

         Fee : 25,000 KRW($25 USD) ~ 80,000 KRW ($80 USD) following the period that you hope to register (1 month, 3 months, one     semester)

        Daily pass : 2,000 KRW ($2 USD)
