Leading the Future with Glocal Creative Convergence
A Mecca for Career and Entrepreneurship Education Based on Design Thinking
The University of Suwon is proactively responding to today’s rapidly changing university educational environment. Two important major areas of change the university has been focusing on are: 1.) The social upheaval caused by the 4th industrial revolution, and 2.) the decrease in the school-age population of South Korea and other countries.
As such, the University of Suwon has established a new vision and strategic system for the university’s development. It has proposed the new vision of, ‘Leading the Future with a Global Creative Convergence University.” The university plans on utilizing design-based thinking to create a hub of, “Entrepreneurship and Education.”
Currently, the university is fostering ACE talents by challenging their ability to use creative thinking to solve problems, and guiding them as they learn to execute (Executive) big dreams (Ambition).
By challenging students to solve real-world problems creatively and pursue bold ambitions with confidence, we shape change makers.
The University of Suwon believes we can contribute greatly to South Korea’s national development based on GLOBAL core competencies.
Glocal University of Interdisciplinary & Creative Studies Pioneering the Future
Suwon University envisions ‘Glocal University of Interdisciplinary & Creative Studies Pioneering the Future’. This vision aims at nurturing creative talents with convergence capabilities who pioneer the future and go global by taking advantage of regional characteristics.
