English is the language of instruction at TRU. Successful applicants require a minimum of 73% in grade 12 English or equivalent for undergraduate degree programs on campus, or 67% for undergraduate diploma and certificate programs on campus.

Library: TRU Library (House of Learning, Law, and Williams Lake) are shared spaces intended to accommodate diverse student learning styles including both solitary and collaborative study. These guidelines are intended to inform the TRU community in the use of study rooms including those for students (undergraduate, associate, certificate, or diploma) and for graduate students (certificate, diploma, master’s degree).
In government and international roles, Dr. Airini has contributed to education reform, equity policy, and Indigenous success strategies. She currently advises the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization on global education access and innovation.
In 1970, it was founded as Cariboo college. 1971 move to McGill Rd campus. Opened Williams Lake Satellite campus. 1974Amalgamated with Kamloops vocational schools. 1978 open learning institute created. 1989 Cariboo becomes university college offering bachelor's degrees. 2020 50th Anniversary Celebration. TRU grants 80,000th credential.
