The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning is the academic support unit that provides leadership and expertise in furthering the mission of teaching and learning at the University of Manitoba.
Collaboration, excellence, integrity, innovation, reciprocity, respect, transformative, resurgence, truth, wholism. These ten values invite conversations about how we do our shared work, both internally and with the campus community. The values represent our collective commitment to learning from, with, and about one another, a process that involves creativity, tension, and opportunities.
We are resolved to affirm our identity explicitly and publicly as an anti-racist academic support unit. We are resolved that our anti-racism commitment be reflected in the life and culture of the unit through our policies, programs and practices as we continue to learn about racism. We resolve to develop and work to implement strategies that dismantle racism within all aspects of our department, college, university and society.
The Centre is a strategic partner of the Province of Manitoba’s Flexible Learning HUB, an initiative dedicated to advancing, with technology, teaching and learning at the post-secondary level through the offer of innovative course design for online education.

She works with an incredible team across HR, finance, IT, operations, and infrastructure. Because even the best plans mean nothing without good people to make them happen. From multi-million-dollar lab builds to fixing the AC when it breaks, it all matters.
She's big on open conversations, shared purpose, and ensuring that students, faculty, and staff all have a place where they feel welcome, supported, and set up to succeed. For me, that’s what a great public university should do: put people first and make space for everyone to thrive.
Proof that spreadsheets, people, and beautiful spaces can (and should) co-exist.
