• official photographic identification 
• English language proficiency: if you are from a non-English speaking country, we require evidence of your English language proficiency
• senior high school (A levels / Year 12) certificate and academic transcripts
• all post-secondary study certificates and academic transcripts (if any)
• evidence of work experience (if any).

When submitting, clear colour copies of documents are preferred.

• Library: The University of Southern Queensland library offers extensive facilities including group study rooms, makerspaces, assistive technology rooms, and printing services across its campuses, alongside vast online resources for remote students. Facilities support both on-campus and online learning, with features like free WiFi, computer labs, and virtual help desks, providing access to information, study support, and technology for a diverse student body. 
• Accommodation: UniSQ accommodation offers private bedrooms with AC, desk, and storage, plus shared or ensuite bathrooms, within residential colleges like Concannon, Steele Rudd, and McGregor, featuring self-catered kitchens, free laundry, Wi-Fi, study spaces, common/recreation areas, and integrated support/security, with options for meal plans and various room types across Toowoomba, Springfield, and Ipswich campuses. 
• Gym: The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) offers comprehensive gym facilities, known as SG Fit, at its Toowoomba, Springfield, and Ipswich campuses, featuring fully equipped gyms with weights and cardio, plus access to indoor courts, pools (Toowoomba), and various sports clubs, all managed by UniSQ Sport & Fitness for students and the wider community.

History

The University of Southern Queensland began in 1967 as the Queensland Institute of Technology, grew into the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education (DDIAE) in 1971, became the University College of Southern Queensland in 1990, and finally achieved full university status in 1992 as the University of Southern Queensland.
