History

The University of Southern Queensland began in 1967 as the Queensland Institute of Technology, grew into the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education (DDIAE) in 1971, became the University College of Southern Queensland in 1990, and finally achieved full university status in 1992 as the University of Southern Queensland.
