Woosuk University is a private university founded in 1979 with campuses in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, and Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do. The university focuses on developing creative professionals with competence, conviction and commitment. Its academic strengths include health and welfare, food and life sciences, sports and wellbeing, culture and tourism, and welfare and safety.

Woosuk places strong emphasis on student-centred education, global exchange, employment support, interdisciplinary learning and industry-academic cooperation. Admission

Undergraduate Admission Requirement

Freshman Applicants

Applicants must:

• Have completed or be expected to complete high school or an equivalent formal education.
• Meet the university's international-student nationality requirements.
• Have TOPIK Level 2 or above.
• Participate in an interview with a professor from the intended programme.
• Applicants without the required TOPIK certificate may be required to complete Korean-language training at Woosuk before entering the undergraduate programme. 

Transfer Applicants

Applicants must:

• Hold a TOPIK Level 3 or above.
• Have graduated from a two-year college, or
• Have completed at least the second year of a four-year university.
• Submit previous university/college academic records

Postgraduate Admission Requirments

The basic academic qualification is:

• Master's: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Doctorate: Master's degree or equivalent.

Applicants may also be required to undergo oral interviews and/or written/practical examinations, depending on the programme.

• Library: As well as books and journals, the University Library houses an impressive range of resources and facilities including electronic resources, audio-visual and printed materials. The Library offers loans and enquiry services, study space, access to the internet, and regularly organises a variety of cultural events.
   
• University Health Service:  The University Health Service, a health clinic on campus, provides a full range of confidential, high quality primary healthcare services for staff and students. The team of experienced professionals combine routine healthcare with specialty clinics that focus on key health concerns. Experts in healthcare provide services such as medical treatment of injuries and illnesses, flu and allergy shots, travel check-ups, counselling for stress reduction, smoking cessation, nutrition, mental health counselling and more.
