Their teaching is influenced by the ideas of strong-practice orientation, open-mindedness and resource efficiency.
Hof University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1994. Our goal for the future is to be an interdisciplinary Green Tech University that uses resources intelligently and to be one of the most innovative universities in Germany in an interactive, communicative society.
Teaching, further education and research are developed in a practice-oriented, digital, nationally and internationally attractive way and are a stabilizing factor in the region, especially through new spin-offs on campus.
Strong practice orientation
All professors have a strong academic background as well as practical experience in industry. Teaching is based on innovative methods to convey application-oriented knowledge (e.g. projects with industry, site visits, involvement of company representatives). As a result, their graduates are ideally prepared for the domestic and international labour markets.
Intensive personal support
They are well-known for their friendly study atmosphere. German and international students from more than 50 countries learn together on their open-minded campuses. An excellent student-to-lecturer ratio allows for frequent and personal contact between students and professors and an active exchange of ideas. Students receive intensive personal support during their studies and benefit from numerous services, such as orientation sessions, social integration events, and housing support.
